Augur Ensemble

Die Auguren schauten in grauer Vorzeit zum Himmel, um am Flug der Vögel die Zukunft vorauszusagen – Hier bearbeiten sechs improvisierende MusikerInnen ihre Instrumente und die komponierten Vorlagen. Diese neuartige Kammermusik klingt nach Vorahnungen zum Jazz, Scheinantworten zum Pop und nach handfesten Ratschlägen zur zeitgenössischen Musik. Die Zukunft bleibt ungewiss und die Musik scheint schwerelos im Raum zu hängen: Die Akkorde klingen geisterhaft, der Groove bleibt unberechenbar und die Melodie hängt leicht schief.

Splashgirl

Splashgirl sind drei gute Freunde, drei kreative, junge norwegische Musiker: Andreas Stensland Løwe (Klavier/Lofi Elektronik), Jo Berger Myhre (Kontrabass/Zither/ Tongenerator) und Andreas Lønmo Knudsrød (Schlagzeug/Perkussion/Sounds). Sie spielen ihre eigenen Stücke, inspiriert von den verschiedensten musikalischen Genres. Die Band wurde 2003 gegründet und augenblicklich danach wurde süsse Musik kreiert.

Seit dann hat die Band drei hoch angesehene Alben veröffentlicht: Doors. Keys. (AIM 2007), Abror (Hubro 2009) und Pressure (Hubro 2011). Und Splashgirl konzertierte schon in ganz Europa und kollaborierte an Konzerten sowie auf Aufnahmen mit unterschiedlichen, äusserst interessanten Künstler.

Splashgirl is three good friends, the three creative, young norwegian musicians Andreas Stensland Løwe (piano/lofi electronics), Jo Berger Myhre (doublebass/zither/tone generator) and Andreas Lønmo Knudsrød (drums/percussion/sounds), playing their own music inspired by any number of musical genres. The band was initiated in 2003, and sweet music was created instantly.

Since then, the band released three highly acclaimed records – Doors. Keys. (AIM 2007), Arbor (Hubro 2009) and Pressure (Hubro 2011) – played a great number of concerts in Europe, and collaborated with several interesting musicians on both concerts and their records.

ANDREAS STENSLAND LØWE

(b. 1983)

Pianist from Hedrum, living in Oslo. Writes a lot of the music for Splashgirl. Also playing piano and/or electronics with Post and Lama as well as writing commisioned music for different occasions.

JO BERGER MYHRE

(b. 1984)

Bassplayer from Sandefjord, living in Oslo. Bachelor degree in performing improvisational music at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo. He has also studied for one year with Anders Jormin at the Music Academy in Gothenburg, Sweden. He has become quite a sought-after bassplayer and is performing regularly around Europe with Blokk 5, Ingrid Olava, Solveig Slettahjell Slow Motion Quintet and Grydeland/Qvenild/Hausken/Myhre amongst others.

ANDREAS LØNMO KNUDSRØD

(b. 1982)

Drummer from Revetal, living in Oslo. Teaching at the Norwegian Academy of Music, Oslo and plays the drums with Blokk 5, Philco Fiction, Sacred Harp and Lama
